THE CLU PLEDGE

In all my professional relationships, I pledge myself to the following rule of ethical conduct:
I shall in the light of all conditions surrounding those I serve, which I shall make every conscientious effort to ascertain and understand, render that service which, in the same circumstances, I would apply to myself.

BACKGROUND:

Matt Ryan, CLU, a 1956 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, is an independent life insurance broker, who has been serving small businesses and professional people in the Puget Sound area since 1976. He is past President of both the Kitsap Estate Planning Counsel and the Washington Peninsulas Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He is a board member of the South Sound Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. He is licensed with upwards of twenty insurance and health carriers.

SERVICES PROVIDED TO CLIENTS:

Emplovee Benefit plans: From health and welfare to retirement for small businesses.
Benefits for selected executives: Salary continuation plan; deferred compensation; and executive bonus.
Business Continuation: Life and disability insurance for funding buy/sell agreements and indemnification for loss of key executives.
Retirement Planning: Protection of life style and assets from expenses associated with home health care and long term care.
Estate & Financial Planning: Integrating employee benefits where possible with personal life/disability insurances and personal investment portfolio to provide liquidity for keeping business in the family; family maintenance; and payment of taxes.

COORDINATION:

In working with my clients, I am a strong advocate of the team concept of planning with their other advisors. Through continuing education, I work to keep current. I encourage clients to keep their other advisors involved and informed. PAYMENT FOR SERVICES:

For those projects and services for which insurance product purchases are involved, payment will be by commission as set forth in contract with the insurance carrier. For group benefits over 50 lives, fees are negotiable. For those projects and services for which no insurance product purchases are contemplated, such as development of entire employee benefits program, review of employee benefit insurance quotes from other brokers, and development of elaborate financial planning model, fees are at $95 per hour.
